Why start an ebook selling business on the internet?
I'm always looking to add partners to start an ebook or other internet business. I realize that I am not knowledgeable on all subjects and that other people have specialized knowledge gained through their experience that I don't have. This knowledge is valuable as it can be relatively simply packaged and sold on the web. As a result, I speak to many friends and acquaintances about beginning an ebook website.
Almost all express great interest at first but many never follow through as they get busy with their other responsibilities in life. These same people often comment after little reflection that it is just not worth the effort to startup an ebook enterprise. I guess people want to see enormous amounts of money immediately. If they don't then they figure it is not worth their time and effort.
By trade, I practice employment law and see and have seen hundreds of people who one day, with no warning, lost their jobs. Imagine what a shock these people experience after being with a company for decades and suddenly being marched out of the building by a security guard. How many of these people had something else to fall back on after such a life changing event? Unemployment compensation won't pay the bills. In today's economy, few people have been able to save a decent amount of money. On top of that, try to get another job that is commensurate to your former position and former salary. Good luck!
Another concern that many people have is whether their retirement savings plan and pensions will be sufficient when retirement age rolls around. Wouldn't it be nice to have a few thousand dollars a month (or for that matter, any extra income) coming in from an internet business to supplement your retirement savings or get you by as you are looking for gainful employment?
My point is that creating, maintaining, and promoting a successful internet business does take work. Once you get the ebook business to a certain point, further maintenance and promotion will not occupy as much of your time. In the meantime, you can enjoy a stream of money that almost resembles passive income. What a great backup plan to have in your favor in case your 9-5 jog doesn't work out or retirement finances seem a little tight.
